Social activities such as lunches/barbecue are occasional events held during the year.
*(3AT stands for the Taunton branch of the University of the Third Age, an organisation which is active all over the UK and was introduced from the continent in 1983. The grand title can be misleading as it is really people with similar interests meeting to share those interests and to promote learning more about them - in other words it consists of self help groups.
