Week beginning Sunday 27th November
Christmas Bazaar - 3rd December 10.30am - 12.30pm
Help is needed on the day, please commit yourself to a couple of hours
on that morning either selling or buying.
Raffle tickets are still on sale - please collect them from the
back of church or see Adrian or Sheila. Please take them and sell to family,
friends, work colleagues, neighbours etc. The ticket sales usually account
for half the profit of the Bazaar, so it's an easy way to make money.
We are reliant on everyone
doing their bit. Thank you in anticipation
Next Sunday
Rebecca Gibbs and Sophie Keitch will take their first communion. It will
be an Allsorts communion service. Please pray for them and support them
and stay for cake afterwards. Sue
The services in December on Sundays are different, please look in
the
magazine for details.
Monday 28th 6:30pm Light Up A Life at the Hospice. This takes
place in the Car Park of the Hospice and is for anyone who wants to take
a few moments to remember a loved one who has died.
Wednesday November 30th 7:30pm The Vicarage Discussion/Red Wine
In the next year or so, the Church could split over the issue of
homosexuality. You've seen the headlines. What do you think about
this issue and other issues that can divide the Church?
Last year a number of people suggested finding a different way of
sending
Christmas cards to members of the church. So this year for
all those who want to take part in a joint card rather than sending individual
card
a) write your name and greeting on a piece of paper ie Christmas Greetings
to the church family love .....
b) enclose a donation in an envelope and give it to Dan Gibbs, a warden
or the vicar
The children will make a huge card and stick in all the written greetings.
The donations will go to Christian Aid.
Photocopying.
All your copying can be done at the Vicarage. Dan is there Tuesdays &
Wednesdays between 9.30am and 11am. 5p a copy but the more you copy the
cheaper it gets!
The church will remain locked this week
