Lent Lunches
The notice is up this week. Please sign up today before it gets filled
by other
churches.
The Allsorts are also doing a Lent Lunch on the 11th March in
the hall between
1.00 & 1.30pm. (after the clear up the grounds morning). Donations
will be to
the Allsorts chosen charity for this year. This is yet to be finalised,
but will be
a charity for children.
Next Sunday
Archdeacon John will be preaching and leading the 10:30am service. It
will
include an act of commitment as we begin Lent. The service will be followed
by a:-
Pancake Race
There will be an opportunity to compete for the golden pancake in a pancake
race (Archdeacon John will be competing). Bring your frying pan to church,
pancakes provided.
This will be followed by a:-
Feast before a Fast
Get your tickets or put your name down today for a hot lunch and pancakes.
£6 a head, discount for children.
The meal will be served in the Church Hall. Tickets available at Church
only £6 per person to include soft drinks (children discounted)
(Please bring
your own wine & glasses if desired).
We need another 2 or 3 offers to make casseroles (you will be reimbursed)

Lent Groups will be held on Tuesday afternoon, Tuesday evening
and
Wednesday evening. If you haven't signed up and want to come, please let
Sue know.
CMS
I will be handing out Lent Boxes this week, 19th February. Please support
our
sponsor family in their work. We are following the progress of the Proudlove
family and will share any correspondence we receive from them.

There are four months to go and two twin-bedded rooms left. If you have

Annual General Meeting Thursday March 9th 7:30pm
Please come and support those who officially and willingly take on the
responsibilities of running the Church. The meeting will be followed by
a short
introduction by Giles Morely on the two bells in the tower that will be
400 years
old in 2008. We are going to celebrate and hopefully, the whole of Bishops
Hull.
Advance notice
Saturday March 11th 'Clear up the Grounds Morning' Bill has the list for
those
who can't be there but can do some work in the preceeding week.
