| BISHOP'S HULL PARISH COUNCIL www.bishopshull.org.uk 24TH APRIL 2008 1. The parish council meeting was short as it was followed by the Annual Parish Meeting. 2. An application was received from Bishops Hull Flower Show for financial assistance as their insurance premium had increased greatly. This was agreed. 3. The proposed housing development on the fields to the west of Bishop's Hull Road was discussed again. A meeting had been held with traffic engineers from County Hall and it seemed unlikely that any objection would be raised by them on traffic grounds. The Council agreed a letter of response. 4. Dog fouling is becoming an increasing problem again in the village. Dog owners are requested to always clean up after their dogs - and are reminded that it is a criminal offence not to and they run the risk of being prosecuted if they don't. 5. LAT - two projects are currently being active - the Speedwatch campaign to try to stop traffic speeding through the village, and a youth paintballing project which was very successful. 6. Annual Parish Meeting - this was poorly attended, which was disappointing. The normal annual reports were given and the Chairman spoke about events which had happened in the village over the last year, and current and future issues including parking, renovation of the Netherclay cobbles, and of course the proposed housing development. The Chairman thanked all the members of the Council and other parishioners who give freely of their time for others, and without whom not much would happen in the village in terms of maintenance of footpaths and facilities, social events and provision of services. 7. Information about all Parish Council meetings and members is on the village noticeboards and the Website - do visit and have a look - www.bishopshull.org.uk 8. The next meeting of the Parish Council is on Thursday 22nd May 2008 at 7.30 p.m. at the Frank Bond Centre. All parishioners are cordially invited to attend.
