1. The Council heard that a parking policy is currently being developed by Somerset County Council. Once it's been agreed with Taunton Deane, the Parish Council will be invited to comment. This is intended to help solve the commuter parking problems on Heron Drive and the surrounding roads.

2. The Parish Plan is due to be reviewed this year and volunteers will be needed to help carry out this work. The Parish Plan will be discussed at the July meeting of the Council.

3. The local Speedwatch Team are hoping to carry out some monitoring work on the Silk Mills Road as there has been a request to increase the current 30 mph speed limit.

4. The Council agreed to press Taunton Deane to either determine the Persimmon Homes application or to make them withdraw it, as it is unfair on residents to have it continuing to hang over them.

5. Part of the footpath by the River Tone beyond Roughmoor has still not been reinstated or made safe and the Council has recorded its concern about this to Somerset CC as the footpath is part of several well-publicised routes.

6. Members received a full report on the work of the Local Action Team, including Speedwatch, the youth club, paintballing, BMX, and the possible installation of a camera by the play area to help prevent vandalism.

7. It is understood that a plan for the restoration of the cobbled path at Netherclay is being prepared by SCC, and it is hoped that the work will be carried out in the autumn.

9. Full copies of the minutes of Parish Council meetings are available on request from the Clerk. There may be a small charge for printing costs.

10. The next Parish Council meeting will be the Annual meeting and will be held on Thursday 28th May NOT 11th June as previously advertised. The Chairman will be elected at this meeting.
