BISHOP'S HULL PARISH COUNCIL
www.bishopshull.org.uk

10th JULY 2008

1. An application was received from the Bishop's Hull Residents Group which is opposing the proposed housing development on the fields to the west of Bishop's Hull Road. It was decided to defer a decision until the Council has reviewed its funds and more is known about the progress of the application. It is hoped that this will now go to Planning Committee on 23rd July.

2. Parking problems are being experienced by the Community Woodland. Cars are being parked in the turning area, which is not for that purpose.

3. The Police have issued several Anti Social Behaviour letters to young people in the refurbished play area and the School car park due to their persistent poor behaviour.

4. The Council congratulated the organisers of the recent highly successful week of celebrations for the Bells. It is hoped that something will be organised next year, but probably just a weekend. Any volunteers would be welcomed by the Village Events Group - contact Carol Bulbeck if you would like to join.

5. It has been reported that some people are dumping their domestic refuse in litter bins, particularly in the Richmond Park area. They are not intended for that purpose, and it would be appreciated if people did not do this as it may lead to the bin being removed.

6. The Constitution Club has been approached about the persistent problem of cigarette ends on the pavement and in gutter. A disposal unit for butts has been provided on the wall of the Club and it would be much appreciated if it was used at all times.

7. Overgrowing hedges have been reported at several locations in the village - the recent warm wet weather has not helped. Please, if you have hedges which grow beside the road or the pavement, make sure that they are well cutback.

8. Information about all Parish Council meetings and members is on the village noticeboards and the Website - do visit and have a look - www.bishopshull.org.uk

9. The next Parish Council meeting is on Thursday 11th September, 2008, at the Frank Bond Centre, Mountway Road, at 7.30 p.m.
